Customer Service


Return policy

Although we do everything we can to get the right part to you, mistakes can happen. If we ship a wrong or defective part, we will pick it up and replace it. Please let us know immediately if you receive the wrong part by e-mailing our customer service department at customerservice@trexautoparts.com. Replacements will be shipped based on the original shipping method.

If you receive a part that you ordered incorrectly, it may be replaced for the freight cost to exchange plus a refund or charge of any price difference between the two parts.

No returns will be accepted for any reason after 30 days from the date an order is shipped. All returned parts must be new and complete. We will not refund you for used parts, and you will be responsible for follow-up shipping charges.

Fuel pumps: if you've installed the fuel pump and run it in gasoline, it cannot be returned for a refund as it is now used. Our pumps have less than a 0.1% failure rate; before returning a fuel pump to us, it is a good idea to have a mechanic or certified professional test the pump on a dedicated fuel pump test machine (without the fuel pump module).

Electrical parts are eligible for a refund only if they are contained in their original sealer. We will not refund opened electrical parts.


Return procedure

If you wish to return something please e-mail customer service at customerservice@trexautoparts.com for instructions, this will help us to promptly process your return for an exchange or refund. Returns are subject to a 15% restock fee. Parts must be returned new and complete.


Warranty information

We reserve the right to repair or replace any defective product at our option. Our liability from all causes is limited to the value of the goods sold. All parts that are claimed defective must be returned freight prepaid for inspection by our technicians. Normal shipping charges to the US are covered by warranty; Express shipping fees and international shipping charges are not covered under our warranties.

MTS Fuel tanks

FIVE YEAR Limited warranty.
MTS Company, L. C. polyethylene gas tanks are warranted to the original purchaser for a period of five years from the date of purchase. We will replace any tank shown within five years from the date of purchase to be defective in materials or workmanship. No other warranty is made or expressed or implied. Our liability shall be limited to the cost of replacing the tank. No labor cost, loss, expense or lost opportunity suffered or incurred by any person or entity directly or indirectly arising from the use of any of our products is included or covered by this warranty. Parts other than tanks supplied by MTS Company, L.C. are covered by the above terms except that the period of coverage shall be one year. The use of any tank or other part on a vehicle other than the model it was designed for voids this and any other warranty coverage and is neither recommended nor encouraged.

LIFETIME WARRANTY.
MTS Company, L.C. polyethylene gas tanks are guaranteed against rust through of the tank for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed.

MTS Sending units

Each MTS sending unit is warranted for one year to the original purchaser. Alteration of any kind or evidence of abuse will void this warranty. Warranty is limited to replacement only.

CRS Wheel hub bearing assemblies

All CRS wheel hub bearing assemblies are covered by a one year, unlimited mileage warranty from date of purchase. Warranty covers manufacturing defects only, and does cover problems caused by installation (improper torque) or environment (car on fire, etc).

T-Rex Alternators and Starters

Limited Warranty
The product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship (chrome plating is excluded from this limited warranty) to the original purchaser when properly installed in the vehicle for which they where intended and under normal use. Misuse, Abuse, Negligence, or operating conditions for which the product was not intended are not included in this warranty.

This limited warranty is for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Disassembled products or those tampered with in any manner will not be warranted.

This limited warranty does not cover damage from stripped threads; it is the installer's duty to insert screws correctly in threaded holes and to install nuts correctly on threaded connections. Pulleys on alternators come pre-installed by dedicated professionals, if these pulleys are removed or replaced they must be installed correctly or the rotor shaft will be ruined and this is not covered by this warranty.

The liability of the manufacturers shall in no event exceed the original purchase price, and the manufacturer shall not be responsible for any consequential damages for personal injuries or damages to property or loss of opportunity or other expenses.

This statement constitutes the exclusive expression of warranties by the manufacturer and is in lieu of any and all other warranties, whether expressed or implied. No modifications of this warranty are authorized. There are no promises, terms, conditions or warranties other than those contained herein.


Removing tags or labels that identify our parts will void all warranties.

No warranty is extended to any item that is connected to the electrical system.

Any parts returned under the warranty procedure that are found not defective will be subject to the normal return procedure.


Order status

Once you place an order with T-Rex Auto Parts, you will receive an automatic e-mail containing transaction data. After your order ships, we will send you a second e-mail with a sales receipt (PDF) and tracking information.

If you order a custom part, or a part that is on backorder, it could take a few business days before your order ships. If you have inquiries on an order that has not shipped, please e-mail us our customer service department at customerservice@trexautoparts.com.


Shipping policy

Our online shipping configuration is set up to ship to the continental USA only. For orders outside the continental US (lower 48 states), contact us for a shipping quote. We provide FREE SHIPPING to the lower 48 states (Hawaii and Alaska excluded) for orders totaling over $75.00 (excluding any sales tax charges that might apply). We ship FedEx ground or USPS priority mail for free shipping. Free shipping does not extend to overnight or rush shipping. Important: If you order qualifies for free shipping, during checkout you must select "Free Shipping" as your shipping option during checkout to receive free shipping.

In stock orders receieved by 1 PM CST on weekdays normally ship the same weekday, orders in stock received after 2 PM CST normally ship by 5 PM the next weekday. Orders for in stock items received on week ends or holidays normally ship the next regular business day. We are not responsible for delayed shipments by carriers, holidays, strikes, squirrels, the sun, or acts of God.

Most orders will be shipped FedEx. Some orders may be shipped USPS 2-3 day priority mail to save you time (the cost between USPS priority mail and FedEx ground shipping is comparable in most instances); FedEx picks up from us once a day but we can make multiple USPS drops in a day. If you are ordering a small item (like a fuel pump or sending unit) and would like to have your item shipped FedEx instead of USPS priority, send us an e-mail at
customerservice@trexautoparts.com when you place your order.

Some orders that qualify for free shipping with a midwest address may be shipped Spee Dee 1-2 day delivery.

Part orders generally take approximately 1-7 business days to arrive. When your order ships, we will notify you by e-mail and provide a tracking number, if applicable. Please allow one business day for the shipping e-mail. If you do not receive a tracking number after such time, please send us an e-mail and we'll provide you with a status on your order.

T-Rex makes every effort to ship all products in a single shipment. However, not every part is available at the same warehouse and we may ship multiple packages. This will not affect the shipping cost you pay.


Canceling orders

You may cancel an order that has not shipped yet by e-mailing sales@trexautoparts.com. We cannot cancel orders that have already shipped. If your order has already been shipped by the time we receive your cancellation request, you must go through the return process and may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.


Product Availability

Product availability information presented on our website is the best, most current information we have. However, there is the possibility that errors may occur.

If a product is not in stock when you place your order, we will do our best to let you know immediately. We will also provide you with our best estimate of when the product will be available. Anticipated delivery dates are dependent upon our suppliers and other factors beyond our control, and are subject to change.


Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, checks, and money order payments. All credit card orders are subject to credit verification and approval. For your protection, credit card orders shipped to an address other than your billing address may require additional verification. Please note that cards attached to checking accounts may have longer times and added procedures for verification as well as daily limits. Personal checks usually take 1-3 days to clear once we receive them.


Sales Tax

In accordance with statutory regulations, T-Rex Auto Parts charges 6.5% sales tax on shipments to customers in the state of Minnesota, and 7% for customers in Iowa. Shipments made to states other than Minnesota and Iowa are not subject to sales tax at the time of sale under current regulations.
